UNICEF Tap Water ProjectTHE NEED: Firefly was approached by Convio in October 2008 to take on the build out and project management of an intricate new website hosted on the Convio CMS and eCRM. The website was designed to promote World Water Day, and its functionality required intricate content types, display templates and a great deal of conditional content for several constituencies.
THE SOLUTION: Firefly led the project team, built out the entire site structure on the CMS and developed the page wrappers and multiple home pages. Leading a team of talented developers, production staff and staff at UNICEF and heading every unexpected snag off at the pass, Firefly kept everything moving ahead smoothly. We held the kick off call in early December. UNICEF needed the site up by mid-January. We listened to the client and made a plan to build out 4/5 of the site in time for their publicized launch date. What was originally scoped as a 12-14 week project was completed in a mere 6 weeks, creating a very happy client and a very tired development team! Firefly continues to do a variety of work with UNICEF and is considered ‘a brilliant partner’ in their online work.
