SOME: So Others Might EatTHE PROBLEM: SOME had an outdated website with overly complicated online donation processes. From the home page, a user had to click a minimum of three times to make an online donation! SOME has several interesting and compelling designated giving options that were buried in a busy menu system that seemed to repeat itself. SOME staff also wanted to dramatically increase their e-newsletter sign-ups and better highlight their advocacy efforts.
THE SOLUTION: Firefly did a complete redesign of SOME's site with bright, bold colors and warm and compelling images from some of their many successful programs. We tightened up the online donation process and made it a one click process from the home page. We streamlined the donation process by consolidating many old forms into one. We also built an e-newsletter option into every page and made their three main ways to get involved - Volunteer, Advocate and Give - a part of their main navigation for high visibility. SOME is thrilled with the results and we are embarking on a long-term case study together to track the progress of site traffic, sign-ups and donations.
