FoodshareTHE NEED: Foodshare is a food bank and distribution center located in Connecticut. They had contracted to host their site on the Convio eCRM and Team Raiser platforms and wanted a local partner to assist them.
THE SOLUTION: The site development, data migration and content set up was a breeze for Firefly... the complex part of this project was their use of Team Raiser to support their annual Walk Against Hunger. The fundraising structure for this walk involves a large number of local food banks and charities. The prior year’s online fundraising component caused the Foodshare staff and partner agencies a great deal of headaches, both in the set up and functionality of the online tools. Firefly’s approach was to maximize our team’s expertise with the Team Raiser module, listen to the history, flowchart the various user experiences, and test test test! We tested the Team Raiser event set up with a virtual event in December and solicited feedback about every button and every click. When the time came to create the actual Walk Against Hunger 2009 event, we were ready (and we tested the heck out of that one too!). Firefly also provided administrator training to the Foodshare staff and were invited to design and facilitate an in-person training session for team leaders from the benefitting agencies. Foodshare is very pleased with the support and final product, and expects to top last years’ online fundraising for the walk.
